Leetty was born and raised in Thunder Bay. She was a graduate of the Doctor of Dental Medicine Program (1991) and General Practice Residency Program (1992) at UBC. For a few years she was an Associate Faculty member at UBC Dental School and an associate at Shaughnessy Hospital before concentrating in private practice in North Delta and downtown Vancouver.
The love of the North Shore brought her to quaint Edgemont Village where she has been delighted to practice dentistry.
A firm believer in continuous professional development, she keeps abreast of the latest techniques and advances through participation in various study clubs, courses, symposiums and meetings. She is active in organized dentistry where she has actively served and has continued to serve on different committees (Quality Assurance, Ethics, Discipline) with the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia. She was given the Award of Merit in 2008. She recently became a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in May 2017.
A recent travel to Costa Rica combined her passion for dentistry and heart for the underprivileged to provide much needed dental care with her colleagues in impoverished areas.
She will be given the Distinguished Service Award for Volunteering at the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia on March 8, 2018.
She is currently involved at the Kois centre as a participant with the curriculum devoted to the advancement of the science of dentistry. She is also a firm believer of minimally invasive dentistry and embraces current techniques of the Bioclear method/system.
